Regal is one of the longstanding names in resonator guitars, with roots going back to the early American resophonic era. The modern Regal line continued that tradition with a range of metal-body and wood-body models aimed at players who want the distinctive attack, projection, and dry character of a resonator without going into vintage price territory. The RC-55 is one of the more visually distinctive models in that range.<\/p>\n

This Regal RC-55 is a roundneck metal-body resonator with a nickel-plated bell brass body, slotted sound screens, and a slotted headstock with pearloid-style front overlay. It has the look of an early tricone-style instrument, but the RC-55 is built around a single-cone resonator design with biscuit bridge construction, which gives it a direct, punchy response with plenty of volume and a clear midrange focus.<\/p>\n

This example has minor playwear and is fitted with a pickup, most likely a Schatten. It plays like new and sounds great. Weight is 3800g. No case or bag is included.<\/p>\n
