This 1966 Fender Jazz Bass is finished in original Fiesta Red, one of the best-known and most sought-after Fender custom colours of the 1960s. Originally taken from Fender\u2019s custom colour chart, Fiesta Red has long been associated with top-tier custom colour instruments because it stands out immediately without losing the classic Fender look. On a mid-1960s Jazz Bass, it is an especially attractive combination with the matching headstock and white guard.<\/p>\n
The bass has at some point had a thumbrest on the bass side, which means that there are two small holes in the pickguard which also extend into the body. It has also been refretted, but is otherwise all original, including all electronics. Neck date is July 66. The original Fiesta Red finish has normal dings, edge wear and general signs of use, but is in great overall condition. It also comes with its original Swedish-made export case, worn but fully functional, and includes the original metal pickup covers. Weight is 4100g.<\/p>\n
