Baker Custom BJ Select Honey Burst 2002

2002 Baker Custom BJ Select Honey Burst, hand built by Gene Baker before he formed his company B3 Guitars, after also working with both Gibson and Fender custom shops. Quite possibly 1 of 1, it’s the only one we have seen with this exact spec.

The guitar features a fabulous Honey Burst-finished flame flat maple top over a mahogany body, a double cutaway design with easy access to all 22 frets and a C-shaped mahogany neck with a 12″ radius rosewood fretboard. A previous owner has replaced the original knobs and pots, which are still included in the case. The two humbuckers can now be controlled with a volume and two tones of which one has a push/pull function to split both humbuckers.

The guitar has been gigged and shows standard playwear and a few dings, but nothing structural. The guitar comes with its original hard case, which is in good condition. Weight is 4000g.

Overall, this is an awesome guitar that sounds and plays wonderfully, looks great, and is literally handbuilt by a well-known master builder. All for half the price of a new custom shop guitar, which in many case will be considerably less custom shopped 😉 Grab it before we keep it ourselves!!
