Woodstock Guitars

The Kent was an acoustic electric archtop made by Epiphone starting in 1949 and discontinued in 1954. This 1949 example is a pre-Gibson, made in the original New York Epiphone factory.

This guitar is perfect for blues, jump swing, hot jazz or just about any other type of roots music. Supercool original Epiphone “Bikini” logo. The guitar is displays some expected signs of use.

Features a 15 3/8″ laminated mahogany body with single bindings, arched maple top with sunburst finish, mahogany neck, 3-on-a-plate tuners with plastic buttons, trapeze tailpiece, rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and rosewood compensated bridge.

Most importantly, unlike many old archtops, this one has a good neck angle and plays really well, so it’s ready to rock, swing and jive with all the cool cats, all night long!
