The American Special series Mustang model features screaming humbuckers, streamlined controls and a cool sonic trick up its sleeve in the form of a push/pull master volume knob that splits the atom, so to speak – splitting both Atomic humbucking pickups for great single-coil tone (inner coil of neck pickup and outer coil of bridge pickup). Further, the Adjusto-Matic bridge and anchored tail piece provide rock-solid intonation and tuning stability for maximum rockage.

Other features include a maple neck with “oval C” profile and satin finish, rosewood fingerboard with 9.5″ radius and 22 jumbo frets, three-way blade pickup switching, two vintage-style black plastic Jazz Bass control knobs (master volume and tone), four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, and nickel/chrome hardware.
