Woodstock Guitars

Here’s a light, flamey and rockin’ 2004 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue in great condition.

Introduced as part of the Historic Reissue line in 1993, the Custom Shop ’59 Les Paul Standard aimed to faithfully reproduce the specs, aesthetics, and tonal characteristics of the legendary 1959 Les Paul. Known for their attention to detail, these guitars feature hand-selected tonewoods, meticulous craftsmanship, and vintage-correct appointments, making them highly sought after by players and collectors alike.

This particular 2004 example has a traditional cherry sunburst finish over a fabulous maple top. The guitar has playwear, with minor dings and a small stand burn on the side of the headstock base, adding character to its vintage-inspired look. The neck binding shows the typical Custom Shop “colour bleed” where the red dye on the mahogany neck bleeds into the plastic binding. Includes original black Gibson case, which though slightly worn remains fully functional. Included are also the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and all original case candy.

The guitar features a slimmer-than-usual neck profile for a ’59 reissue. The pickups have been changed to Gibson Burstbucker Pro units. At just 3800g, this is an exceptionally light example, and it resonates vibrantly. The original frets are in excellent condition, and the guitar plays great.
