Woodstock Guitars

Introduced as an upgraded version of the iconic Flying V, Gibson’s “The V” was produced from 1981 to 1984. This rare model features a bound curly maple top and a stunning 3-piece flamed maple neck, paired with Gibson’s powerful “Dirty Fingers” double-white humbuckers, known for their high output and aggressive tone. Lightweight at 3900 grams and with a medium-sized C-shaped neck, this guitar is a joy to rock out with!

“The V” was Gibson’s response to the evolving needs of guitarists in the early ’80s, blending the visual flair of the Flying V with upgraded components and finishes. Today it is a rare and sought-after 80s Gibson.

This particular example shows standard playwear and dings consistent with its age. The original frets are in good shape, and the 3-piece flame maple neck adds both stability and visual flair. The guitar is very alive and resonant, and plays exceptionally well. Includes non-original case.
