Weird, wonderful and vintage Gretsch TK-300 in natural finish. Made from 1977-1981, these quirkly guitars were designed to combat Gibson and other pointy headstock guitars going into the 80’s metal era. They failed spectacularly in doing that, but remain a testament to old school “anything goes” electric guitar design, especially with the bonkers “Hockey Stick” headstock.
Fitting with the intended rock and metal target audience, the humbuckers are nice and hot, and the neck is quick and flat. The guitar plays great and is perfect for today’s music, while looking deliciously strange and alluring. What’s not to like?
