All original and great sounding 1960 Harmony Stratotone Mercury. Lightweight and really fun to play, and the DeArmond pickup sounds amazing. Neck is straight and guitar plays effortlessly all the way up and down. Has quite a lot of wear as can be seen in the photos, but that all adds to the vibe. Includes original case.

Harmony, a revered name in the world of guitars, traces its roots back to the late 19th century. Established in 1892 in Chicago, Illinois, by Wilhelm Schultz and William J. Heid, the company initially focused on crafting high-quality violins. However, by the 1950s and 1960s, Harmony had garnered a reputation for producing a wide range of instruments, including electric guitars, which were typically sold through mail order catalogues and department stores.

The Stratotone series, introduced in 1954, is famous for being a first instrument for many aspiring rock stars, and for good reason – it was affordable, played great, and sounded fantastic.

In modern times, the Harmony Stratotone Mercury found its way into the hands of numerous notable musicians, including Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and Jack White of The White Stripes, among others.
