Ibanez JS1BKP Black Paisley Joe Satriani Signature

Over the last few years, Ibanez signature artist Joe Satriani has become very inspired and intrigued by the history and visual aesthetic of what is commonly known in the west as the “Paisley” pattern. Working from this inspiration, Joe created a design for a Paisley JS, featuring original hand-drawn paisley pattern elements while experimenting with the scale and size of the elements themselves.

This combination creates something that looks both original, yet still familiar. Joe commissioned the Ibanez Los Angeles Custom Shop to create the guitar, who were able to make Joe’s design into a reality. Since then, the custom JS Paisley has recently become a staple of Joe’s touring guitar lineup, and Joe has used it live all around the world.

Working together with Joe, Ibanez has been able to turn Joe’s custom one-off guitar into a limited-edition production model, the Ibanez JS1BKP. Joe is particularly pleased by how this new guitar has turned out, and both he and Ibanez are extremely excited to be able to offer this new model to the public.
