Fender Precision Bass Fretless Sunburst 1976

DKK 19995

This 1976 Fender Precision Bass Fretless in a classic three-tone sunburst finish is a great example of the Precision’s evolution during the CBS era. Fender introduced the fretless Precision Bass in the early 1970s, catering to players seeking a warmer, more fluid sound that could also emulate an upright bass. By 1976, the fretless P-Bass had become a go-to for musicians looking to move beyond the typical electric bass feel, offering a vocal-like expressiveness perfect for jazz, soul, and progressive styles.

This bass shows typical playwear for its age, with scattered nicks, surface wear, and minor finish checking throughout. The thumb rest and pickup cover are no longer present, a common modification on working instruments back in the day. The bass does include its original Fender manual, which is rare and adds historic value, and comes with its original export case, which is heavily worn but working. Weight is 4800g.
