Music Man Silhouette 20th Anniversary 2006

The Silhouette was one of the earliest guitar designs from the reborn Ernie Ball Music Man and the company’s first production guitar, introduced in 1986. Its format was practical and modern for the time: compact double-cut body, 25.5″ scale, 24 frets, and a fast bolt-on neck. That combination gave the original Silhouette a clear identity within the Music Man line, and it remained one of the brand’s most recognisable models through the following decades.

This 2006 Silhouette 20th Anniversary takes that original format and moves it into a more deluxe specification. It keeps the 24-fret layout and compact body, but adds a figured maple top, rear-routed construction, anniversary headstock logo, and the original blonde/brown 20th Anniversary case with the commemorative interior plaque. Finished in Honeyburst, it has the 2HH setup with no coil splits, giving it a straightforward control layout and a more focused humbucker-based spec than most standard Silhouette versions.

This guitar has standard playwear front and back, with the kind of cosmetic use you would expect from a regularly played instrument rather than a case queen. The frets have around 90% life left, and it plays great. The neck is shallower in depth and slightly wider than a standard Music Man neck, which gives it a different feel from the regular production Silhouette. The original whammy bar is included. No paperwork. The original case shows minor wear, but it is a very cool part of the package and suits the guitar perfectly. Weight is 3700g.
