Ovation 1869 Custom Legend 1995 BRUGT

1995 Ovation Custom Legend 1869 electro-acoustic, USA-built, from Ovation’s high-end Custom Legend line that grew out of the original Legend series in the 1970s as the more ornate, top-spec model. The 1869 is the super shallow cutaway variant, designed as a stage-focused guitar that keeps the classic Ovation roundback tone but sits close to the body and handles amplified use very well. It pairs a solid spruce top with Ovation’s Lyrachord composite bowl and abalone detailing around the top and soundhole, plus an ebony fingerboard and gold hardware.

This example dates from 1995 and has a lovely sunburst top over the composite bowl back. Cosmetically it is almost like new, with the only real sign of age being slightly yellowed binding, which is typical for the model at this age. Frets are in perfect condition with no notable wear, and the ebony board is clean. The factory Optima preamp with under-saddle piezo pickup delivers the classic 1990s Ovation amplified sound, with a 4-band EQ, notch filter and onboard tuner.

Weight is 2400g. Includes original Ovation hardshell case, which has some wear but is in good functional condition overall. A well-preserved mid-90s USA Custom Legend 1869 and a very practical stage guitar with the characteristic Ovation look and sound.
