Yamaha SA2200 Violin Sunburst USED

The Yamaha SA2200 is the flagship model in Yamaha’s long-running SA semi-hollow line, made in Japan. The basic layout is the familiar double-cutaway, centre-block semi-hollow format, but the SA2200 has a number of features that distinguish it from more conventional 335-style instruments, including an ebony fingerboard, original block position markers, gold hardware and independently splittable humbuckers.

This 2025 example is finished in Violin Sunburst. The body uses arched maple and sycamore laminates for the top and back, with birch and sycamore sides and a maple and spruce centre block. The mahogany set neck has an ebony fingerboard and 628mm scale.

Electronics are two Yamaha SAH-SAII G humbuckers with Alnico V magnets. Each tone control incorporates Yamaha’s Bi-Sound coil split, allowing the neck and bridge pickups to be switched independently between humbucking and single-coil operation, and there’s the traditional three-way switch.

This guitar has only very minor standard playwear and is almost like new. Frets are like new. No paperwork is included. The original case is included and is also close to new condition. Weight is a nice and light 3500g.
