Gibson J-45 2008 Sunburst USED

The Gibson J-45 was introduced in 1942 and has remained one of Gibson’s most popular acoustic models ever since. Known as “The Workhorse”, the J-45 features Gibson’s characteristic round-shoulder dreadnought body, a short 629 mm scale length, and a combination of solid spruce and mahogany that has remained central to the model throughout its history.

This 2008 J-45 comes from Gibson’s Modern Classic period, during which the model received several updates, including Grover Rotomatic tuners, a bone nut, TUSQ saddle, and improved fingerboard edges. It retains the traditional solid Sitka spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, hand-scalloped X-bracing, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

Finished in Vintage Sunburst, the guitar features the traditional tortoiseshell teardrop pickguard, cream body binding, and gold Gibson headstock logo. The mahogany neck has a comfortable Slim Taper profile, and the guitar is equipped with an LR Baggs Element active undersaddle pickup with soundhole-mounted volume control.

The guitar is in good condition with standard playwear, including minor scratches on the top and pick swirls in the finish. The frets have approximately 95% remaining. Weight is 2500 grams. Includes original black Gibson hardshell case with blue interior. No paperwork is included.
