Most people remember Blade for making better guitars than the originals that inspired them when they first came out in the late 1980s. Headed by American luthier Gary Levinson, the Blade brand has always been about using modern innovation to improve and perfect classic and classic-inspired designs, and the company made prototype, stage and signature guitars for people like Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Luther Allison and many others.

Today, Blade is still doing the same thing, but better than ever. Designs are still inspired by the classics but as always have their own distinctive details that make a Blade guitar its own thing, like the Gary Levinson-designed VSC preamp system.
