Eastman Juliet-P90-VR Vintage Red

The Eastman Juliet P90 VR is an offset solidbody electric guitar with a one piece okoume body, one piece okoume neck and a pair of Bare Knuckle Old Guard P90 pickups. Introduced as part of the Juliet range in 2022, the model takes some of the ergonomic ideas of Eastman’s Romeo and applies them to a more compact solidbody design.

The body has pronounced waist and forearm contours, together with the Juliet’s distinctive raised centre section and an inlaid black acrylic pickguard. The one piece okoume construction keeps the basic design relatively simple, while the 25.5″ scale length, 12″ radius ebony fingerboard and 1.68″ bone nut give it dimensions closer to a traditional long scale solidbody guitar. The neck uses Eastman’s Traditional Even C profile and is fitted with 22 Jescar frets.

Electronics are built around two Bare Knuckle Old Guard P90 pickups. These are relatively low output P90s, giving the Juliet a clear and open response while retaining the midrange and attack normally associated with this pickup type. Pickup selection is handled by a Schaller three way Megaswitch, with separate volume controls and a tone control for the bridge pickup. Eastman also uses CTS pots, an Orange Drop capacitor and a Switchcraft output jack.

Hardware includes a Gotoh GE 104B bridge, Gotoh GE101A stop tailpiece and Gotoh SD91 tuners. The Vintage Red finish is Eastman’s TruTone Gloss, complemented by nickel hardware, pearl dot fingerboard inlays and the Juliet’s six in line headstock. Includes padded Eastman gig bag.
