Fender Jaguar 1965

DKK 39995

Here’s a super clean, collector-grade 1965 Fender Jaguar. It is all original, in exceptional condition (see the pictures!) and includes its original case, which is also in great condition. This is a late-’65 example with the bound rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays typical for the period, before block markers arrive the following year.

Cosmetically, the guitar looks incredible for its age. The finish is bright and the hardware and plastics look great. Includes original trem arm. It plays great, with plenty of life left in the original frets. Weight is 3700g.

Introduced in 1962 as Fender’s top-of-the-line offset, the Jaguar features a shorter 24″ scale, bright-voiced single-coils with shielding “claws,” and dual lead/rhythm circuits with the signature bass-cut (“strangle”) switch. Surf players quickly adopted it in the ’60s; later waves of artists rediscovered it for its clarity and ergonomic offset body. Notable Jaguar users include Kurt Cobain (who often favored mid-’60s examples) and Johnny Marr (whose long association led to a signature model).

This guitar sits squarely in that desirable transition era: period-correct specs, pre-CBS feel, and the late-’65 binding/dots combination. A truly collector grade treasure.
