Fender Stratocaster 1968

1968 Fender Stratocaster in lovely faded original sunburst finish. A real player grade vintage guitar with lots of changes, but also lots of mojo! Plays great, with a lovely neck profile. Neck date is October 1968. Weight is 3670g.

Changes:

• 1974 Fender bridge pickup that has been rewound – original bobbin, but later wire
• Non-original neck and middle pickups
• Built-in preamp system. Bottom pot is bypass, and the middle pot is a push-push which adds the bridge pickup to all positions. Battery compartment routed into the back.
• Pots, switch and wiring changed
• Refretted with jumbo frets
• Nut replaced
• String tree added to D and G strings
• New side dots on fretboard
• Unoriginal shielding in pickup cavities
• New bridge saddles
• Original pickguard, modified for easier truss rod access
