Hansen S-Style Surf Green USED

The Hansen S-Style is a hand-built take on the traditional three-single-coil electric guitar, made by Danish luthier Henning Hansen. Hansen is a small-scale builder, with instruments made largely by hand rather than through CNC-based production. Hansen also winds his own pickups and produces a substantial part of the hardware used on his guitars.

One of the more unusual features of Hansen’s approach is the choice of body wood. Rather than the alder or ash normally associated with this type of guitar, Hansen has long used lightweight African Khaya mahogany. The S-Style combines this with a bolt-on European maple neck and East Indian rosewood fingerboard, a thin nitrocellulose finish, and hand-wound S-Tone single coils with Alnico 5 magnets.

This example has a Surf Green relic finish with an aged three-ply pickguard and matching aged hardware. Apart from the standard factory relic treatment, there is no specific additional wear to mention. The frets are approximately 95%.
