PRS SE McCarty 594 Singlecut Vintage Sunburst

The PRS SE McCarty 594 Singlecut is based on the American McCarty 594 Singlecut, and combines a single-cut mahogany body and maple top with the shorter 24.594″ scale length, Pattern Vintage neck profile and a control layout clearly influenced by classic late-1950s electric guitars.

The McCarty name has been part of PRS since 1994 and refers to Ted McCarty, the former Gibson president who became a mentor and consultant to Paul Reed Smith. The later 594 series developed the concept further with its 24.594″ scale, two-piece bridge, vintage-style tuners and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup.

The SE McCarty 594 Singlecut uses a mahogany back with a carved maple top and flame maple veneer, finished here in Vintage Sunburst. The set mahogany neck has PRS’s Pattern Vintage profile, a bound rosewood fingerboard, 10″ radius and the traditional PRS bird inlays.

Electronics consist of a pair of PRS 58/15 LT “S” humbuckers. Each pickup has its own volume and push/pull tone control, allowing the pickups to be switched between full humbucking and single-coil sounds. A three-way toggle is positioned on the upper bout.

The hardware follows the McCarty formula closely, with a PRS two-piece bridge, vintage-style closed-back tuners and nickel hardware. Includes the original PRS gig bag.
