PRS Custom 22 2003 Turquoise BRUGT

The PRS Custom 22 was introduced in the early 1990s as a 22-fret counterpart to the Custom 24, using the same core PRS formula of a carved maple top, mahogany back, set mahogany neck and PRS double-cut body shape. The 22-fret layout places the neck pickup slightly farther from the bridge than on a Custom 24, giving it a more traditional neck pickup tone.

This 2003 Custom 22 has a quilted maple top in Turquoise finish, natural maple edge binding, bird inlays and a Wide/Thin neck profile. The guitar has a few changes. It currently has a Seymour Duncan TB-6 Distortion Trembucker in the bridge position and a Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz in the neck position. Original pickups are not present. The original 5-way rotary selector has also been replaced with a 3-way toggle, which is a popular mod on these, but the original rotary switch is included.

This example has lots of playwear and many dings, but no breaks or serious issues. There is a large ding on the back of the neck, but it is not felt when playing. Weight is 3700g. It includes the original case and tremolo arm, but no paperwork.
