The BR-260 Dreadnought style guitar offers authentic style reminiscent of fine American guitars built prior to WWII. Every guitar is manufactured using the same techniques as their antique counterparts, but with subtle improvements that bring these guitars firmly into the 21st century.
Meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is evident in the traditional Herringbone trim, forward position, handcarved parabolic X-bracing which allows the solid spruce top to ring loud and true. Blueridge guitars also feature a traditional dovetail neck joint, slim mahogany neck, adjustable truss rod making this truly a modern collectable.
What makes Adirondack spruce so special?
Adirondack spruce, also known as red spruce, is a highly prized tonewood sourced from the Appalachian Mountains in the northeastern United States, particularly in the Adirondack region of New York. Adirondack spruce delivers powerful volume and excellent dynamic range, making it ideal for flatpicking and aggressive strumming.
Its high headroom allows it to handle strong attack without distortion, while still responding well to subtle playing. Originally used on pre-war Martins and other vintage guitars, simply because it was readily available in abundance at the time, Adirondack spruce is today a natural premium top choice for high-end acoustic guitars and admired for responsiveness, projection and tone.
