Woodstock Guitars

Here’s quite a rare bird, in fact this one is named after an actual bird! The Gibson Doves in Flight model is a luxurious extension of the iconic Dove series, first introduced in 1962. While the Dove itself became known for its bold visual appointments and rich tone, the Doves in Flight elevates this design with unmatched artistry and intricate details.

Limited production of this model began in the late 1990s through the Gibson Custom Shop, making each instrument a rare and collectible masterpiece. The Doves in Flight stands out for its ornate mother-of-pearl and abalone inlays, particularly the intricate dove motifs scattered across the fingerboard, bridge, and headstock. It is a testament to Gibson’s commitment to high-end craftsmanship.

This 2006 Gibson Custom Shop Doves in Flight is in good condition, showing normal play wear consistent with its age. It has a crack in the top (visible in photos), which has been professionally repaired and does not impact on the guitar’s great tone. Frets like new, includes its original hardshell case, which is also in good condition. No COA or case candy.

This guitar is not only a remarkable instrument but also a collectible work of art!
