Halkan’s Elektra De Luxe 1990s

DKK 17995

Halkan’s Rockhouse in Stockholm has been part of the Scandinavian vintage guitar world since the early 1970s and are still going strong, but the “Halkan” name also featured on a run of high-quality electric guitars in the 90s.

This Elektra De Luxe is one of them, and is definitely something you don’t see every day, especially as this one features a gloriously loud “mother-of-toilet-seat” pearloid look that makes it impossible to ignore. But it’s not just about looks, this is a high quality and very playable, modern-feeling guitar that just works, is ready for anything, and really rocks.

There’s also a fun Stockholm rock connection here: Halkan Elektra/Electra guitars are often linked with Andy McCoy (Hanoi Rocks), who has been known to use this model family over the years. Whether you like it because of the story, the look, or just because it’s a great-playing, lightweight-feeling bolt-on, it definitely has a unique personality.

It’s a player’s guitar, so it has standard medium playwear and a few dings as you’d expect, but nothing that stops it from being a great working instrument. The neck is slim, it plays great up, and the frets have lots of life left at roughly 95%. Weight is 3800g. No case or bag.

A unique piece of Swedish rock history!
