Very cool 1988 Ibanez JP20 Joe Pass model. Made in Japan, in great condition.

The JP20 is a full sized 16” 25 1/2” scale single cutaway arched spruce top, maple back and sides hollow body electric guitar model introduced in 1982. This 1988 example was made in the Terada factory. The serial number system is a bit unusual, which is why many are listed as 1980 models (before it came out ;-)) but this guitar is definitely a 1988 model.

The Ibanez JP-20 Joe Pass Model was introduced in 1982, and produced in limited quantities until 1991. Designed in collaboration with British guitar impresario Maurice Summerfield, the JP-20 was adapted from Pass’ own Jimmy D’Aquisto hand built guitar. Taking the workhorse ES-175 as a starting point, the JP-20 added subtle touches that improved response, playability and comfort.

The guitar includes a brand new deluxe case.
