Marshall JCM 50/25 2558 2×12 50W Combo

Marshall’s JCM 50/25 Model 2558 is the 2×12 combo from the Silver Jubilee series, built for Marshall’s 25th anniversary and Jim Marshall’s 50 years in the business. Made in the late 1980s, the Jubilee models bridge the gap between the aggressive JCM800 era and the smoother, more feature-rich Marshalls that followed. The 2558 keeps the classic Marshall simplicity, but adds key Jubilee features like switchable 50W or 25W output, channel switching, and the distinctive Rhythm Clip mode.

This amp is used, and it has seen some things! There’s cosmetic wear with rips and scuffs in the tolex, visible in the photos. The important part is that it works and sounds as it should, with the punch and drive that make these combos so desirable.

The 25W mode brings earlier power section push at friendlier volume, while 50W keeps more headroom and punch. Add the 2×12 spread and you have a proper gig-worthy combo that also records extremely well, especially with boosts, delays, and modulation through the loop.
