Taylor 412ce-R Sunburst

The Taylor 412ce is part of the 400 Series and combines Taylor’s compact Grand Concert body with the classic acoustic pairing of Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood. It is a smaller-bodied 6-string with a Venetian cutaway, made for players who want a comfortable acoustic-electric guitar with a clear response, easy upper-fret access and a more intimate feel than a full-size Grand Auditorium or dreadnought.

This version has a solid Sitka spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. The spruce top gives the guitar a responsive attack and broad dynamic range, while the rosewood adds low-end depth, high-end detail and a slightly scooped midrange. Taylor’s V-Class bracing is used instead of traditional X-bracing, with the aim of improving volume, sustain and intonation across the fingerboard.

The Grand Concert body makes the 412ce particularly suited to fingerstyle playing, but it still has enough range and projection for strumming, recording and live use. The shorter 632 mm scale length and 44.5 mm nut width give it a relaxed feel, while the Venetian cutaway keeps the higher frets easily accessible. The neo-tropical mahogany neck is paired with a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard, with Taylor’s Finial inlays on the fingerboard and peghead.

It comes fitted with Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics, using a behind-the-saddle pickup design with onboard volume, bass and treble controls. The guitar comes with a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
