Gibson SJ-200 Custom Shop Western Classic 2013 BRUGT

The Gibson SJ-200 goes back to the late 1930s and was Gibson’s large, top-of-the-line flat-top acoustic. The Western Classic is one of the more interesting Custom Shop versions because it does not have the maple back and sides common to the J-200. It keeps the full SJ-200 shape, long scale, ornate trim and moustache bridge, but with rosewood back and sides, a spruce top, block inlays and the Western Classic torch inlay on the headstock.

This 2013 example is finished in Vintage Sunburst and has the full high-end visual spec: multi-ply body binding, bound tortoise pickguard, four-bar moustache bridge, gold Waverly open gear tuners and a bound headstock with pearl Gibson logo and torch inlay.

It is a large and very ornately detailed Gibson acoustic, but unlike some SJ-200s this one really sounds great. The guitar has standard playwear and minor dings, but no cracks. There is nitro burn from a stand on the back. Some paperwork is included, but there is no COA. The original case is included; it is slightly worn with marks, but has no issues.
