Martin D-35 Johnny Cash 2022 BRUGT

The Martin D-35 Johnny Cash 1932-2003 Commemorative Edition is Martin’s tribute to Johnny Cash’s custom black D-35, the guitar strongly associated with his later stage image.

The model follows the core D-35 recipe with a dreadnought body, Engelmann spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, three-piece back and forward-shifted scalloped bracing, but adds a full gloss black finish, antique white binding, abalone rosette, star fingerboard inlays and Johnny Cash’s signature inlay near the end of the fingerboard.

This 2022 example is numbered #1243 and has the signed internal commemorative label. It has also been fitted with an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup system. Weight is 2300g.

It has only standard playwear and very slight checking, but the frets are like new and the guitar plays great. Includes original case and some paperwork.
