Mørch J-Style 6-string Bass

DKK 19995

This Mørch is a J-bass style 6-string built by Danish luthier Johnny Mørch. Mørch began building electric instruments in 1970 with his father, Arne, and later developed the “curl” designs that he is most famous for.

Electronics are a big part of the Mørch story. He has developed his own guitar and bass pickups for decades and has also offered dedicated onboard preamp options on certain builds. Mørch instruments have been used by a wide range of working players, and the brand is often associated with the curl basses, but he also builds more traditional shapes when requested.

This particular bass takes the familiar J-style look and expands it to 6 strings. Visually it stays pretty straight, with Olympic White finish, white pickguard, and a chrome control plate. It has a mahogany bolt-on neck with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard, plus two Mørch pickups in Jazz positions. Weight is 5000g.

It has lots of playwear and dings on the body and neck, so it’s been giged, but there are no serious or structural issues. Tuners are Schaller. Includes excellent Hiscox hardshell case.
