Sadowsky Will Lee Signature Bass BRUGT

This 2011 Sadowsky Metroline Will Lee Signature Bass is a great example of Japanese craftsmanship, produced at the famed Tokyo workshop before Sadowsky shifted Metroline production to Germany. These Japan-built instruments are widely regarded by players and collectors as superior in both feel and tonal richness compared to the current German-made counterparts, thanks to their meticulous hand-finishing and vintage-informed build quality.

This model was developed in collaboration with legendary session bassist Will Lee, known for his decades-long work with the Late Show with David Letterman band and countless high-profile recordings. Will wanted a bass that balanced the punchy articulation of a J-style instrument with the modern versatility and comfort required for long studio and live sessions. The result was a refined take on the classic J-bass platform, outfitted with several unique features tailored to his preferences.

Key among these is the inclusion of a mid-boost circuit with adjustable frequency—a feature exclusive to the Will Lee model—and a narrower nut width (1.45″) for faster playability. Over the years, various iterations of the Will Lee Signature have surfaced, but the Japan-made version is one of the most highly regarded.

This particular instrument is in excellent condition, showing only minor playwear. The hardshell case is included and appears virtually untouched. No case candy is included. Weight is 4000g.
