TV Jones Model 10 2010 BRUGT
DKK 9995
The Model 10 is a rare, short-lived guitar designed by pickup specialist Thomas Vincent “TV” Jones, best known for recreating and refining classic Filter’Tron-style pickups. Before the Model 10, TV Jones was primarily known for supplying pickups to Gretsch and other makers, with players like Brian Setzer, Billy Gibbons, and Jack White relying on his pickups for their characteristic chime and punch. The Model 10 was one of the few full guitar designs to bear his name—a stripped-back, retro-inspired solidbody with a modern feel.
Built in Japan, the Model 10 combined a chambered mahogany body with a maple top and a bolt-on maple neck, paired with a slab rosewood fingerboard. The short 24.625″ scale and 1 11/16″ nut width make it feel fast and comfortable, while the lightweight construction (this example weighs just 3100g) gives it excellent resonance and quick response. Electronics include a pair of TV Jones Classic pickups with a traditional three-way switch, master volume, and tone.
This example is well used, with a large ding on the top behind the bridge (visible in photos), a noticeable dent in the neck between the 3rd and 4th frets, and other minor wear throughout. Frets are at about 90% but guitar plays and sounds awesome.
Rarely seen today, the Model 10 remains a unique expression of TV Jones bringing his pickup expertise into a full guitar format. And it just looks too cool for school!
